When I began my career as a lawyer, I was an idealist and wanted to contribute to a better world. I am still that person, and I have dedicated decades of my life to improving the lives of the less fortunate.

In 2013, I took a different turn in my career. After 27 years of experience at the bar and advocating in courts, I specialized in mediation. I am convinced of the tremendous utility of mediation to avoid and resolve conflicts. That’s why I also wrote a book on the subject while I was in Africa and trained African lawyers in mediation, to prevent and resolve conflicts rather than exacerbate and escalate them.

In 2019, I was internationally recognized, primarily through an international series on mediation by my Indian friend and professional mediator, Vikram Singh. He invited me first in a series of 70 international speakers because of my “beautiful mind,” one of the greatest compliments I have received in my life.
